ABELDent is one of Canada's longest running dental practice management systems and their support team knows the software well. For anything inside the application, they are your first call. Make sure you have an active support plan before calling.

Support hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm EST answered live. Outside those hours and on weekends and holidays, calls are handled on a priority basis. 24 hour support is available.
Your ABELDent customer ID (for example, C09999) is required when calling ABELDent support and is also helpful to have on hand when calling Bytewing. For longer standing practices it is sometimes used as the name of the server itself. You can find it on your ABELDent invoice or by checking with your office manager.

ABELDent runs on a Windows server in your office and connects to every workstation across the network. The software is their responsibility. The server, the network, and the computers it runs on are yours. When something on the IT side causes a problem, ABELDent will ask you to get your local IT involved. That is where we come in.

ABELDent runs on your server and touches every workstation in the office. A lot of the time when the software feels slow or stops working, the problem has nothing to do with ABELDent at all. It is the hardware or the network underneath it.

ABELDent Running Slowly We test what is causing the slowdown. Aging server drives, not enough RAM, network bottlenecks between the server and workstations. ABELDent often gets the blame but is rarely the cause.
ABELDent Not Connecting When workstations cannot reach the server, the cause is almost always on the IT side. Changed server address, dropped network share, firewall rule, or a service that stopped. We find it and fix it.
Network Speed Testing Old cabling and switches can leave workstations stuck at 100Mbps. We test your network, find the bottleneck, and get your office to gigabit speeds.
Server and Workstation Upgrades Adding an SSD or more RAM to the server can be the difference between sluggish and fast. We handle it when the testing points that direction.
ABELDent on a New Server We move the ABELDent database and application to a new server and reconfigure all workstations to connect to it. Done right the first time so you are not down for long.
New Workstation Setup Install and configure ABELDent on new operatory or front desk computers correctly. Right server path, right printer, right settings from day one.
iTrans Certificate Install or renew your iTrans digital certificate inside ABELDent. If claims are not going through, this is usually why. We get it sorted fast.
Server Backup and System Images ABELDent has its own backup service for the database. We cover the rest: full system images and data captures of your server and other software so you can recover everything, not just ABELDent, if something goes wrong.
